We are unable to respond to appeals/complaints by telephone. If your vehicle has been wheel-clamped, you must follow the procedure shown on the details attached to your windscreen and write to the address displayed. (see below).

When appealing you must provide your original receipt and a self addressed envelope. Failing to provide any of the details may result in a delay in a reply or no reply at all.

If you have received a PCN (Parking Charge Notice) and wish to appeal or to make a complaint, please do so within 14 days of the offence in writing to:

Appeals Dept

Capital Carpark Control
Po Box 51267

London

SE11 6WQ

Please note: Our reply time will continue to be 21 days of receipt and maybe longer in some circumstances. Please supply all requested details as failing to do so will considerably delay the responses.

When contacting us by post, please ensure that you write clearly and add a return address as we have received some correspondence which does not contain a return address. No Address - No Reply.

Before appealing, we would first like to highlight that your vehicle may have been wheel-clamped or issued with a PCN (Parking Charge Notice) usually because it was parked unlawfully or against conditions displayed. Digital photographs are also taken of each vehicle showing the offence.

Appeals will not be considered for the following reasons:

  • My permit fell down or the wind blew it down
  • I forgot to display my permit
  • I am waiting to receive my permit
  • My permit is in the house
  • My permit is in my bag
  • I have lost my permit
  • There is nowhere else to park
  • I was only one minute
  • I wasn’t the driver
  • Its not my car
  • Disabled badge holders are not exempt
  • I/We didn't know you needed a permit
